Lend a hand, save Syu's mom

About a month ago our friend Syu's mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and had her breast removed. Because she has HER-2 positive breast cancer she needs a drug called "herceptin" which costs 3000 dollars per capsule. In many "Western" countries, women have taken insurance companies to court in order to have their treatment financed. They have been able to secure free access to this drug in France, Australia, England, and the US. Because this is not the case in Armenia, we have taken matters into our own hands and created the "Mayrik" fund. The volunteers and friends of the Women's Resource Center have been organizing fundraiser concerts and art shows, in addition to writing to various well-known indiviuals as well as ordinary citizens of the world to help with donations. If we can fundraise the total 54,000 dollars needed for Syu's mom's entire treatment, we will succeed in saving her life. We are trying to reach out to as many people as possible to forward this information to their relatives, their friends and to anyone they think can provide us with help.
